If you use a Mac, you can use the shortcuts by replacing Ctrl with Command key (or 'Apple' key - there is one on both sides of your keyboard). The exceptions are marked with asterisks. To view the complete list, click the link below:
Gmail Users - got multiple email accounts? Create signature files for each of them
Have you taken to Gmail like a duck to water? Do you love it so much you now use it to 'filter' out all the spam on all your email accounts?
If you do, then you're in good company - I use it exclusively for all my email accounts, and it's a wonderful feeling to be spam-free :-)
With any email account, you probably want to set up a Signature File (commonly called a Sig File). If you've been wondering how to do this in Gmail for multiple email accounts, your prayers have been answere - there IS a solution!
Thanks to a question from Michelle this week, I located a great video which shows you how to do this:
Just spotted this on a webpage and thought it was a cool idea to share with you. You'll need to sign up but I think this is an excellent way to encourage your website visitors to tell others about your webpages. Sign up and see a sample here:
It will look like this example on the ADDTHIS.com website:
When someone visits your website, as themove through the pages this Sharebar will appear hovering at the bottom of every page, encouraging the visitor to Tweet about the page if they lke it, or send to their Facebook account or other social networking site.
This is an excellent tool.
Have you ever stolen Wi-FI?
You know it's illegal ... right? But sometimes you might be in a bind and need to, of course, we all understand, we've probably all done it (briefly) :-)
You might enjoy this tech call video which has gone viral, about a woman who's been using someone else's WIFI for over a year - and now can't access it. You have to watch this if you know what WIFI's about (plus there are some great explanations about WIFI service)

This Week's Client Questions
Client question #01: "How do I add a website link to an email?"
We were all newbies at one point, and this video should help with a getting-started question:
That's it for now - THANK YOU for reading all the way to the end :-)
Teena's Tip - you are the most important asset you have!
Too many of my friends and associates around the world have been overwhelmed and/or stressed this passed year for a variety of legitimate reasons. This reminds me that we all need to give OURSELVES time - time to take a break, treat ourself to a manicure, pedicure, night out with friends or family.
Step away from the computer - make this part of your daily routine. Even if you only walk to the letterbox/postbox, it's further than the fridge :-)
If possible, go for a 15 minute walk each day, and build that up to a longer walk. If you don't have the luxury of going outside (snow, whatever other reason), find a Youtube.com video with the exercise of your choice. I found some great 'walking exercise' videos for rainy days.
Whatever you choose, please take a break. You'll feel better, your family and friends will feel better for you too, and if you have clients, they'll notice the difference :-)
I will send you interesting info every now and then - if you wish to opt out of these client updates, please email me - info [at] buildawebsitetonight [dot] com - with Unsubscribe as the Subject.
If you are a client and for some reason you are not receiving the automated emails (change of email name etc), please contact me and I'll make sure you're on the list.
