Review of Steve Wiideman's SEO Webinar
This week I had the pleasure of watching one of Steve Wiideman's SEO Webinars (author of http://www.seoinaday.com), and even though I know a lot about SEO, I found myself typing notes as I watched. That's right, I was hearing some new info as well as being reminded about some clever twists and techniques I can use straight away for my websites and those of my clients.
The Webinar covered many topics and included e-business basics, and I listened intently as tips were given on how to define a business model.
I had no idea there would be so much good information - from reverse engineering SEO performance reports, to resourcing labour (outsourcing) and the best tools to use.
The generic four types of businesses were covered, and this guy knows his stuff - he's covered everyone:
-
folks selling products online and shipping to their customers (this is the e-commerce model)
-
folks selling online membership subscriptions to their information website
-
folks with products and/or services in a local geographic area - for example your local plumber, accountant, florist etc
-
folks selling other people's products who receive a commission and don't have to do any shipping or customer liaison (this is affiliate marketing).
One marketing tip in Steve Wiideman's SEO Webinar which was a big surprise is that social media isn't necessarily THE most important thing website owners need to do! This will come as a shock to many, as that's the flavor of the month at the moment, and being touted all over the internet.
There were too many tips to list them all - and I did enjoy being reminded about the old way of marketing via postcards - with clever twists.
The webinar was packed chock full of juicy info - I know I came away with some fresh views on techniques I've been using - and I'd like to send a big hello to Steve Wiideman and say "Thank you!". You can check out Steve's site here - http://www.creativesearchstrategies.com
Looking forward to hearing your SEO stories, tips and tricks, and do let me know if you've ever watched any of Steve Wiideman's SEO Webinars.
Ciao for now
