Once you've got your new website online, you need to make sure all the search engines can see it. This will happen naturally as long as you add new content to your site every single week, but you can speed up the process and tell the search engines you're ready for their robots to come visit. You do this by submitting your website to the search engine, and ask them nicely to come visit and take a look at your site.
The 3 major search engines you need to submit to are Google, Yahoo!, & Microsoft Bing.
