I am often asked this question, as it is yet another acronym for us to learn amongst all the techie mumbo-jumbo that's out there.
This one is worth knowing - it stands for:
S -- SEARCH
E -- ENGINE
R -- RESULTS
P -- PAGES
S -- simply adds a plural to the word 'page".
So if you are searching for something on a search engine like Google or Bing etc, and you end up with pages of results, they are known as SERPS.
How to use it in a sentence?
"I was searching for 'red donkey shoes' the other day and found 1,222,00 results in the SERPS."
