Making the most with SEO in your Youtube Video & Channel Description

Posting videos on a Youtube Channel for your business (or your clients) is a great first step - but are you missing out by not using ALL THE SEO tweaks available to you?

Everyone needs to be using video marketing for their business and their clients (if providing this service to them), but the one thing I see over and over is that most folks don't know HOW to make the most with SEO in their Youtube Video (& Channel) Descriptions.

Note the amount of information I provide which has links back to a main page, as well as other pages on my site - each link is a very powerful backlink from Youtube which is one of the top authority sites (for every niche).

Tips for your Youtube Channel

• always put your full URL at the BEGINNING of the Description
• next, put your keyword phrase in a sentence, starting with the keywords if possible, right after the URL
• talk to your viewers in the Description - be natural, be friendly, encourage them to pop over to the site with a call to action - read something, download something, win something, sign up for something
• provide other helpful links in the Description - to the Newsletter, other videos etc - again, be friendly and offer your assistance in an easy-going way - people love to get stuff for free, so offer lots of free information, Reports, downloads, autoresponder series of tips etc
• always use /user/ in your Channel name and links - ALWAYS! e.g. http://www.youtube.com/user/BuildAWebsiteTonight - if you leave out - /user/ - it is not counted as a TRUE LINK in Google's eyes.
